Description

Strawberry Lemon Smoothie is a refreshing and tart blend made with frozen strawberries and fresh lemon juice, creating a creamy and flavorful drink that's perfect for a healthy snack or dessert. This smoothie is Paleo, AIP, and Vegan-friendly, using natural sweeteners and plant-based milk to keep it clean and nutritious.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 12 ounces frozen strawberries
  • Juice of 1 large lemon (about 3 tablespoons to 1/4 cup, freshly squeezed)

Liquids

  • 1 1/4 cups milk of choice (such as almond milk for Paleo or oat milk for Gluten-free)

Sweeteners and Seasonings

  • 5 tablespoons liquid sweetener (maple syrup or agave)
  • Pinch of sea salt or potassium salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Gather 12 ounces of frozen strawberries, fresh lemon juice from one large lemon, 1 1/4 cups of your preferred plant-based milk, 5 tablespoons of liquid sweetener, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Blend Ingredients: Place the frozen strawberries in the blender first, then add the lemon juice, plant-based milk, liquid sweetener, and salt on top.
  3. Blend Smooth: Start blending on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed until smooth. If the mixture is too thick and creates air bubbles near the blades, stop blending and use a spatula to push the mixture down. Then blend again until creamy and well mixed.
  4. Serve: Pour the smoothie into glasses immediately and enjoy this refreshing, tart, and creamy treat.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best tartness and flavor.
  • Choose clean, additive-free plant-based milks such as natural almond or oat milk brands.
  • Adjust sweetness to taste by varying the amount of maple syrup or agave.
  • If you prefer a thinner smoothie, add a bit more milk.
  • This smoothie serves 2 and is perfect as a healthy snack or dessert.
