Description

A luscious and refreshing twist on classic tiramisu featuring layers of ladyfingers soaked in a triple sec and cream mixture, creamy mascarpone blended with whipped cream and confectioners’ sugar, and vibrant strawberry jam. This no-bake dessert is chilled to perfection and topped with crushed freeze-dried strawberries for a delightful fruity finish.

Ingredients

Mascarpone Cream

  • 3 tbsp confectioners’ sugar
  • 3 cups heavy cream (divided)
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese, room temperature

Syrup & Ladyfingers

  • 48 ladyfingers
  • 2/3 cup triple sec
  • 3 cups heavy cream (remaining)

Other

  • 1 (13-oz) jar strawberry jam
  • 3 tbsp crushed freeze-dried strawberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mascarpone Cream: In the large bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or using a large bowl and handheld mixer, beat confectioners’ sugar and 3 cups of heavy cream on medium-high speed until medium peaks form, about 3 minutes. Avoid whipping to stiff peaks. Add the room temperature mascarpone cheese and beat just until combined, noting that the mixture will loosen slightly.
  2. Soak the Ladyfingers: In a shallow dish or long container that fits ladyfingers, combine the triple sec and remaining 3 cups of heavy cream. Briefly dip each ladyfinger into this mixture on both sides until they begin to soften but do not fall apart, approximately 30 seconds total per ladyfinger.
  3. Assemble the Tiramisu: Line the bottom of a 13" x 9" baking dish with two rows of 12 dipped ladyfingers placed vertically. Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture evenly over the ladyfingers. Stir the strawberry jam to loosen it if necessary and gently spread it over the mascarpone layer, taking care not to blend the layers too much. Repeat this layering process with the remaining dipped ladyfingers and mascarpone cream.
  4. Chill to Set: Refrigerate the assembled tiramisu for at least 3 hours or up to overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to firm up.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Just before serving, evenly sprinkle the top with crushed freeze-dried strawberries for added texture and a burst of color.

Notes

  • Make sure mascarpone is at room temperature for smooth blending with the whipped cream.
  • Do not oversoak the ladyfingers to prevent sogginess.
  • The dessert can be prepared a day ahead for enhanced flavor.
  • Use good quality strawberry jam for the best fruity flavor.
  • Freeze-dried strawberries add a nice crunch and vibrant color but can be substituted with fresh sliced strawberries if unavailable.
