Reese's Bark is a delightful no-bake treat combining layers of melted chocolate, creamy peanut butter mixture, and crunchy Reese's pieces. This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for chocolate and peanut butter lovers looking for a sweet and crunchy snack that sets quickly in the fridge.
Ingredients
Chocolate Layer
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup peanut butter chips
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
Peanut Butter Layer
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 3 tbsp softened butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Topping
- 1 cup Reese's pieces
Instructions
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking and set it aside.
- Melt Chocolate and Peanut Butter Chips: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is melted and smooth.
- Spread First Chocolate Layer: Pour half of the melted chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into a rectangle approximately 9 by 13 inches in size. Place it in the fridge or freezer to harden.
- Make Peanut Butter Mixture: While the chocolate hardens, combine creamy peanut butter, softened butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a bowl. Mix well until the mixture is smooth and fully blended.
- Layer Peanut Butter Mixture: Drop dollops of the peanut butter mixture over the chilled chocolate layer, then press and spread it evenly over the surface.
- Add Top Chocolate Layer: Pour the remaining melted chocolate mixture on top of the peanut butter layer. Spread it evenly to cover the peanut butter completely.
- Add Topping and Set: Sprinkle Reese’s pieces candies evenly over the top chocolate layer. Transfer the baking sheet back to the fridge or freezer to set the bark completely before breaking into pieces for serving.
Notes
- For best results, chill the bark until fully firm before breaking it into pieces to prevent crumbling.
- You can substitute peanut butter chips with all chocolate chips if preferred.
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing for easier blending.
- Store Reese's bark in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
