- ⅛ teaspoon salt (optional)

- Prepare Marinade: In a large reclosable plastic bag, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, dried oregano, thyme, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Add the sliced chicken to the bag, seal it, and massage the marinade around the chicken pieces till evenly coated.
- Marinate: Place the sealed bag in the refrigerator and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 day, to develop deep flavors.
- Cook Chicken: Heat 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a skillet or pan over medium heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard marinade) and cook the chicken slices in the hot skillet until golden brown on all sides and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (about 7-10 minutes).
- Serve or Store: Once cooked, serve immediately or store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer for later use.
Notes
- Ensure the chicken is sliced evenly to promote consistent cooking.
- Marinating longer (up to 24 hours) enhances the flavor and tenderness.
- Discard the marinade after removing the chicken to avoid contamination.
- Use a meat thermometer to guarantee the chicken has reached a safe internal temperature of 165°F.
- Serve with a side of fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal.
