Description

This Cream Cheese Fruit Dip is a light, fluffy, and deliciously sweet dip made by combining whipped cream cheese with sweetened whipped cream. It pairs perfectly with assorted fresh fruits, making it an ideal appetizer or dessert for parties, gatherings, or casual snacking.

Ingredients

Dip

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

For Serving

  • Assorted fresh fruits (such as strawberries, apple slices, grapes, pineapple chunks, and melon balls)

Instructions

  1. Whip the Cream: Place the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract into a stand mixer bowl fitted with a whisk attachment. Whisk on low speed for about 30 seconds to combine the powdered sugar with the cream. Then increase the speed to medium-high and continue whisking for 3-4 minutes or until stiff peaks form. Transfer the whipped cream to a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Whip the Cream Cheese: Using a clean stand mixer bowl fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the softened cream cheese on high speed for about 1 minute until it becomes light and whipped.
  3. Fold Ingredients Together: Gently add the whipped cream to the whipped cream cheese bowl. Using a large silicone spatula, carefully fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until combined, making sure not to overmix in order to keep the dip light and fluffy.
  4. Serve or Store: Transfer the finished cream cheese fruit dip to a serving dish. Serve immediately with a variety of fresh fruits, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For best results, use cream cheese that is softened to room temperature to ensure it whips smoothly.
  • Assorted fresh fruits can be customized to your preference or seasonal availability.
  • This dip can be stored refrigerated for up to 2 days; give it a gentle stir before serving if it separates slightly.
  • For a healthier option, substitute powdered sugar with a sugar substitute suitable for whipping.
