Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Cranberry Whipped Feta Dip that combines tangy feta and cream cheese with sweet cranberry sauce and crunchy pistachios, perfect for holiday gatherings or anytime snacking.

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 8 ounces feta cheese (in the brine, brought to room temp)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup whole cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Toppings

  • ¼ cup chopped pistachios

Instructions

  1. Drain the feta: Remove the feta cheese from its brine and let it come to room temperature for easier blending.
  2. Combine cheeses: Place the feta and softened cream cheese into the bowl of a food processor.
  3. Pulse cheeses: Pulse the mixture until the feta and cream cheese have combined into a smooth, creamy base.
  4. Add cranberry and honey: Add ¼ cup of cranberry sauce and 2 tablespoons of honey to the food processor bowl.
  5. Pulse to blend: Pulse again to blend the cranberry sauce and honey evenly into the cheese mixture.
  6. Transfer to serving dish: Remove the whipped cheese mixture from the processor and spread it on a serving platter or place in a bowl.
  7. Top the dip: Spoon the remaining cranberry sauce over the top of the dip, then sprinkle with chopped pistachios for a crunchy finish.
  8. Serve: Serve immediately with toasted bread or crackers for dipping and enjoy.

Notes

  • Allow feta to come to room temperature for best texture and easier blending.
  • Use whole cranberry sauce for texture contrast; you may substitute with fresh or frozen cranberries cooked down if preferred.
  • For a vegan variation, substitute feta and cream cheese with plant-based alternatives.
  • Serve the dip with pita chips, vegetable sticks, or your favorite crackers.
  • Can be prepared a few hours in advance and refrigerated; bring to room temperature before serving for best flavor.
