Description

Create a festive and fun Christmas Tree Cinnamon Roll Pull-Apart that's perfect for holiday gatherings. Using canned cinnamon rolls, this sweet treat is transformed into a pull-apart tree shape decorated with icing, green sugar crystals, and holiday sprinkles, making it both delicious and visually delightful.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 (17.5 ounce) cans Grands! Cinnamon Rolls (10 rolls total)
  • Icing, from the cinnamon roll cans
  • Green sugar crystals, for sprinkling
  • Holiday confetti sprinkles (red, green, white round sprinkles), for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Cut Cinnamon Rolls: Unroll each cinnamon roll onto a large cutting board, then cut each roll into four equal strips, about 4 inches long, creating smaller pieces to make mini cinnamon rolls.
  3. Reroll Dough Strips: Take each of the four strips and carefully reroll them into mini cinnamon roll shapes. You should end up with 40 mini cinnamon rolls total.
  4. Form Christmas Tree Shape: On the prepared sheet pan, arrange these mini rolls in a triangle resembling a Christmas tree, starting with 8 rolls on the bottom row and decreasing by one roll per row going upward until only one roll remains at the top, forming 8 rows.
  5. Make Tree Trunk: Set aside 4 mini cinnamon rolls and place them aligned at the bottom middle of the triangle to represent the tree trunk.
  6. Bake Rolls: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through to ensure even browning, until the tops are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Cool and Add Icing: Remove the cinnamon rolls from the oven and transfer the pan to a cooling rack. Drizzle the icing over the tree portion, spreading it evenly with a spreader, but leave the trunk rolls without icing to create contrast.
  8. Decorate: While the icing is still wet, sprinkle green sugar crystals over the tree to mimic pine needles, followed by holiday confetti sprinkles in red, green, and white to resemble ornaments and festive decorations.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Present your Christmas Tree Cinnamon Roll Pull-Apart warm, allowing guests to pull mini rolls directly from the festive tree shape. Enjoy this delightful and shareable holiday treat!
