Description

This Chicken Alfredo Monkey Bread combines pillowy pizza dough balls layered with shredded rotisserie chicken, rich Alfredo sauce, and a melty blend of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, all baked together in a bundt pan for a gooey, cheesy, and shareable appetizer or meal.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough Balls

  • 2 tubes (13.8 ounces each) pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced

Cheeses

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided
  • 2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated, divided

Other

  • 2 cups rotisserie chicken, shredded, divided
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a large bundt pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare Dough Balls: Cut the pizza dough into ½-inch pieces and roll each piece into a small ball, placing them into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Coat Dough Balls: Drizzle the olive oil over the dough balls, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, minced garlic, ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese, and ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese. Use your hands to thoroughly coat each dough ball with these flavors.
  4. Assemble Layers: Begin layering in the prepared bundt pan: start with ½ cup mozzarella and ½ cup Parmesan cheese, then add half the dough balls, followed by half the shredded rotisserie chicken and half the Alfredo sauce (½ cup).
  5. Add Second Layer: Repeat the layering process: sprinkle another ½ cup mozzarella cheese, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, the remaining dough balls, the rest of the shredded chicken (1 cup), and the remaining Alfredo sauce (½ cup).
  6. Top Layer: Finish by topping with the remaining ½ cup mozzarella and ½ cup Parmesan cheeses evenly over the top.
  7. Bake: Place the bundt pan in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Cool and Serve: Carefully invert the bundt pan onto a large plate to release the monkey bread. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving to ensure it holds together.

Notes

  • You can use pre-shredded cheeses, but freshly shredded will melt better.
  • Leftover rotisserie chicken works perfectly for this recipe, saving time on prep.
  • Ensure the bundt pan is well greased to avoid sticking when inverting.
  • If pizza dough is refrigerated, let it come to room temperature to make it easier to roll.
  • This recipe can be served as an appetizer or main dish alongside a fresh salad.
