Description

These Cheeseburger Sliders are a perfect crowd-pleaser featuring juicy ground beef cooked with onions and savory sauces, layered with melted cheddar cheese and optional dill pickles on soft dinner rolls. Baked until golden and bubbly, they make an easy, flavorful appetizer or meal ideal for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 package (12 sliders) dinner rolls
  • 1 block (8 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 dill pickle, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for the sliders.
  2. Cook Ground Beef: Heat avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot, about 1 minute. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned on all sides, around 6-8 minutes.
  3. Sauté Onions: Add the thinly sliced yellow onions to the beef and sauté until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add Sauces and Seasonings: Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
  5. Prepare Dinner Rolls: Place the dinner rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Slice the rolls evenly in half lengthwise and leave the bottom halves in place on the baking sheet.
  6. Assemble Sliders: Evenly spread the beef mixture over the bottom halves of the rolls. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and optional thinly sliced dill pickles, then cover with the top halves of the rolls.
  7. Brush with Butter and Bake: Brush the tops of the assembled sliders with melted butter. Bake in the preheated oven until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted completely, about 12-15 minutes.
  8. Serve Warm: Slice the slider tray into individual sandwiches and serve warm for the best flavor.

Notes

  • Using avocado oil adds a mild flavor and a high smoke point for cooking the beef.
  • The mayonnaise in the beef mixture adds moisture and richness but can be omitted if desired.
  • Feel free to add pickles according to your preference or substitute with other toppings like sliced jalapeños or tomatoes.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of garlic powder or smoked paprika to the beef mixture.
  • These sliders are perfect for parties and can be kept warm in a low oven after baking.
