Description

A delicious and indulgent twist on classic overnight oats featuring Cadbury Mini Eggs, cocoa powder, and chocolate protein powder for a chocolaty, creamy breakfast that’s quick to prepare and perfect for chocolate lovers.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ tablespoon basil seeds (or chia seeds)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop Equip chocolate protein powder (or protein powder of choice)
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 2 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 Cadbury Mini Eggs (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the oats, basil seeds (or chia seeds), cocoa powder, chocolate protein powder, almond milk, maple syrup (optional), vanilla extract, salt, and most of the crushed Cadbury Mini Eggs into a jar or bowl. A 16oz wide mouth mason jar is ideal. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are fully combined and no clumps remain.
  2. Refrigerate: Cover the jar or bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. This allows the oats and seeds to absorb the liquid and thicken into a creamy texture.
  3. Stir in the Morning: When ready to eat, give the oats a good stir. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of your preferred milk to loosen it up to your desired consistency.
  4. Add Toppings: Sprinkle the remaining crushed Mini Eggs on top of the oats for added crunch and sweetness, then enjoy your chocolaty, protein-packed breakfast!

Notes

  • You can substitute basil seeds with chia seeds depending on availability or preference.
  • Adjust the sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup or omitting it entirely.
  • Use any protein powder flavor or brand you prefer.
  • For a creamier texture, you can soak the oats overnight up to 12 hours.
  • This recipe is perfect for a quick grab-and-go breakfast or a post-workout meal.
