- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Onion Dipping Sauce
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 tablespoon prepared creamy horseradish sauce
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven and prepare baking sheet: Line a 13x18-inch rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and drizzle with 3 tablespoons olive oil. Place the pan in the oven while it preheats to 425°F (220°C).
- Mix dry ingredients for coating: In a shallow dish, stir together flour, onion powder, salt, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and freshly ground black pepper.
- Prepare egg and onion topping mixtures: Place the beaten eggs in a second shallow dish. In a third shallow dish, combine crushed French-fried onions with panko bread crumbs.
- Coat the chicken tenders: Dip each chicken tender first into the seasoned flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with the French-fried onion and panko mixture. Set coated tenders aside.
- Arrange chicken on the hot baking sheet: Carefully remove the hot baking sheet with olive oil from the oven and swirl to coat the surface evenly. Arrange the coated chicken tenders on the pan.
- Bake the chicken: Bake in the preheated oven for 8 minutes. Flip each piece, then continue baking for another 5 to 6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through, or an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) is reached.
- Prepare the onion dipping sauce: While the chicken bakes, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, creamy horseradish sauce, ketchup, white vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
- Serve: Plate the crispy Bloomin Onion Chicken pieces with the onion dipping sauce on the side and enjoy!
