Ingredients
Wonton Wrappers
- 16 wonton wrappers
Filling
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp onion powder
- ⅛ tsp parsley flakes
For Cooking
- Olive oil spray
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, and parsley flakes until evenly mixed and fragrant.
- Prepare wonton wrappers: Lay six wonton wrappers flat on a piece of parchment paper. Moisten the outside edges of each wrapper with water to help seal them.
- Fill and fold wontons: Place about one teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper. Fold the wrapper diagonally to form a triangle over the filling, pressing to remove any trapped air and seal the edges. Then, bring the two opposite corners of the triangle over the center, using a little water to secure them in place.
- Repeat the process: Continue filling and folding the remaining wonton wrappers in the same manner until all are prepared.
- Air fry wontons: Place the wontons in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, positioning the folded points face down. Lightly spray both sides of the wontons with olive oil. Air fry at 350°F for 4 minutes. Then, spray the tops again with olive oil, flip the wontons, and air fry for an additional 4 to 6 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Notes
- Be sure to moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers well so they seal properly.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake them in an oven at 375°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Serve the wontons warm with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili or soy sauce.
